The articles that used to say that SungKyunKwan Scandal had turtle-like ratings are now saying things like "SungKyunKwan Scandal, reaches highest ratings to date of 10.2%' and 'SungKyunKwan Scandal hits double digit ratings... Will the drama cause an uprising?'

I was very happy as I searched through the articles when I woke up. And with it, I remembered saying in my last post that double digit ratings were our goal and that I would write once more when we reached that goal. So I have returned, with the somewhat fearful memories of the last verification issue.

Now, I feel as though you all are very close to me. Because I now feel we are all part of the SungKyunKwan Scandal family haha.

I feel as though I should set a new goal for ourselves. I'm thinking of cautiously setting a goal of ratings in the 20s.

So shall I cautiously say something about what will happen next in the story?

In episodes 11 and 12, Seon Joon and Yoon Hee go to an island~~~ But Seon Joon gets a little sick~~~~ Such scenes will be shown to you all next week.

We have been filming nonstop for the past 100 or so days since the first time we began filming in May 27th, 2010. During the hot summer, we thought about how hot and tiring it was. But we have spent so much time with SungKyunKwan Scandal that now we worry about the cold. All this time spent on a project is making the staff and actors weary and tired too.

I believe this is when they need your love more than ever before.

The double digit ratings gave us all a new strength.

We've been getting contacts from broadcasting and newspaper companies. It seems as though the interest in our drama has risen. We've finally gotten some popularity haha.

We will work hard to make the remaining ten episodes better to create a higher quality drama.

I hope you will support us till the end.

[NEWS] JYJ Announces Global Album “The Beginning”, Kanye West Helps on The Production

Some big news coming from the JYJ (Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu) camp as they’ve just announced a new global album release for “The Beginning”.

Here’s the exciting information below:

JYJ Announces “The Beginning”

New album from the ex-members of Asia’s top selling male vocal act “TVXQ” collaborates with international music superstars on global debut

JYJ, which includes 3 main members from arguably the biggest selling male vocal group in Asia “TVXQ” has teamed up with A-list US producers Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins for their global album debut “The Beginning”. The title of the album is synonymous with their journey to date and marks a first for the group to release an English language album.

JYJ has an enormous fan base worldwide and the trio made it to the Guinness Book Records in 2008 and 2009 for having the World’s Largest Official Fan Club at over 800,000 members in Seoul alone and being The Most Photographed Celebrities in the World shot an estimated 500 million times in magazines, albums jackets, and commercials from the time of their debut in 2003 to May 19 2009 with their former group.

The first single off the album “Ayyy Girl” is produced by Kanye West who lends his vocals to the song. It also features the maestro of spoken word, Malik “The Poet” Yusef. It’s a song that depicts the quest of seeking that perfect girl but when you find her, things are never quite as perfect as you envision it to be.

Besides the catchy first single by Kanye West, The Beginning also sees original compositions by top music producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. The two tracks are “Empty” and “Be My Girl”.

Rodney Jerkins reportedly said,

“I’m really glad to work with JYJ on their debut album. It’s all about the East meeting the West these days and the world is becoming a melting pot of various cultures. To have Kanye and myself champion the cause of unifying the world through the international language of music and introducing top artistes from one end of the globe to this end in America makes this a very special project to us.”

Other than the creative collaborations with the US top producers onboard, JYJ who has been dabbling in songwriting since their teenage days, have also contributed a song each to the album. The tracks are ”Still in Love” Jaejung, ”I Can Soar” Junsu and ”I Love You” Yuchun.

Mr. Baek Chang Ju, the trio’s manager and CEO of C-JeS Entertainment, commented,

“We have faced many challenges in these recent months but are glad to complete an album which the boys are extremely proud of. The Beginning is a product of their blood, sweat and tears, and they hope fans will see the efforts that went into making this excellent album. As a partaker in their journey, I am so proud of them at this moment for what they have achieved.”

The album comprises of 7 tracks and 3 remixes. Jae Chong, one of Asia’s leading music producers has also contributed a track on it and played a big role in organizing and producing the overall project with the 3 members.

The Beginning is produced by Show Shop Entertainment and distributed by Warner Music worldwide. The album will be released on CD & digital formats from 12th OCT. There will also be a special limited edition `Luxury Package’ which will be numbered and limited to only 99,999 sets.

The first single “Ayyy Girl” will be made available via i-Tunes for download on the 19th of Oct.

New Album Showcase Tour 2010

JYJ comprises of three members from South Korea namely Kim Jaejung, Park Yuchun and Kim Junsu. They were originally from the boy band Dongbangshinki also known as “TVXQ” and “Tohoshinki” which is formed in 2003 in Korea. Known for their good looks, dancing skills and vocal capabilities, the boys took the Asian pop music market by storm. They were the first group to successfully spearhead the 2nd Korean Music wave into the Japanese market by becoming the first non Japanese act to have nine No. 1 singles on Japan’s Oricon Charts. In 2009, the trio left the band and went on to form JYJ. In June 2010, JYJ held their first concert under their new identity at the Tokyo Dome, singing to more than 200,000 fans from 43 countries around the world. To date, the concert DVD became the second fastest selling DVD in Japan this year shifting 140,000 copies in its first week of release.

Micky Yoochun revealed that the 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' OST is currently in production. 'Members of Dong Bang Shin Ki as well as other singers will be experimenting with various different things.'

To the fans who have been waiting patiently, he said 'There may be other things that they'll have to wait for in the future, but I hope they won't simply think of it as waiting and will learn to enjoy the present as well as the process of waiting. Thank for all your support, I'll give my best effort.'

The first episode of 'SungKyunKwan Scandal' will be aired on the 30th at 9:55pm.

[TRANS] 100811 SungKyunKwan Scandal To Hold Large-Scale Variety Production Report Conference!

KBS 2TV's new miniseries , which is receiving love from both domestic and overseas fans, is preparing a unique production report conference that mirrors a large-scale variety show.

The production report conference, which will be held on the 17th, will not follow the traditional form of introducing the drama and holding a press conference. Instead, it plans to please the eyes and ears with various attractions such as a mask performance, laser show and hanbok fashion show.

Also, another reason why this production report conference is so unique is because it will be the first to be simultaneously aired live on both Daum (www.daum.net) and KBSi (www.kbsi.co.kr). This has never been done before, and it can be seen as a surprise gift for domestic and overseas fans who have been supporting .

Sungkyunkwan Scandal to be aired through KBS

Having already confirmed Jung Da Young, Yoochun and Song Joong Ki for the new drama, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, it was further revealed on the 13th that it will be aired on KBS2TV this autumn in Korea.

This was confirmed by the production company as they revealed that the scheduled airing date is fixed for September through KBS. The official website was also launched today which revealed the comic characters of the main leads, F4 who will be the focus of the drama. Filming will begin at the end of May.

[TRANS] 100513 Micky Yoochun’s & Song Joong Gi’s “SungKyunKwan Scandal” Has Been Scheduled by the KBS Production Team For Release in September

Using homosexuality as one of the themes to describe and express the lives of and romance between SungKyunKwan scholars, a new-age remake of the Korean historical drama, “SungKyunKwan Scandal” will be available to the audience in the fall.

The production company of “SungKyunKwan Scandal” has expressed on the 13th that “we have been doing confirmation works with the KBS production team recently, and we have scheduled for the drama to be released in September this year.”

On the other end, KBS states, “Right now, “SungKyunKwan Scandal” is schedule to be broadcast every Monday and Tuesday, but there is a huge possibility of change. Even though we are in the midst of discussion with the drama production team, but because the drama which we are broadcasting currently might be lengthened by a few episodes, so the confirmation for the broadcast of “SungKyunKwan Scandal” is still undetermined.”

As “SungKyunKwan Scandal” is DBSK’s Micky Yoochun’s acting debut in a TV drama, it has received the attention of SBS, KBS and MBC respectively.

Also, other than Micky Yoochun, Song Joong Gi and Jung Da Young, many other well-known actors and actresses are being cast as supporting roles, therefore the progress of the shoot is a pressing task.

“SungKyunKwan Scandal” will commence its shooting in late May.

T/N:Yoochun's character develops a romantic relationship with Da Young's character (a girl disguised as a boy), that's why the article spoke about having the theme of homosexuality. SungKyunKwan is an all-boys' school.
