Debuted as Dong Bang Shin Ki’s member on 26th December 2003, their popularity covers not only Japan and Korea, but also the whole of Asia. Less than two years after their debut, on April 2005, they debuted in Japan with ‘Stay With Me Tonight’, and officially started their activities in Japan as a JPop group.

Though their songs became hit songs as soon as they were released, in Japan, they spent some time for people to get to know the name of ‘TOHOSHINKI’. The result of their continuous hardwork took place in June 2007 when they had their concert at Budokan Hall for the first time. ‘Purple Line’ that was released in January 2008 ranked number one on the Oricon chart for the first time. At the end of 2008, they attended NHK ‘Kohaku Uta Gassen’. While in July 2009, they stood on the stages of a sold-out Tokyo Dome for the first time, a feat that no other Korean artists have ever achieved before. However just when their popularity was at its peak, April 2010, they announced an indefinite suspension of their activities which was caused a huge impact on all their fans in Japan and Korea.

This year, JunSu took part in a Korean musical ‘Mozart!’ for the first time, where he tried out the role of a musical actor. Fans from Japan and China had flown in to Korea to watch his performances. His first musical has also received great success, and he was awarded the ‘Best Male Beginner’ award at the 4th Musical Awards that took place in June. He thanked his fans during the ceremony and also expressed his joy of receiving the award.

At the same time, he has also become more active as a singer. Not only did he release a Japanese version named ‘Xiahtic’, on 26th May, he also released his first single ‘Intoxication’ as a solo singer. On top of that, a drama’s theme song was also included in the single. From these we can see that the attention everyone has on him is really high.

With the single marking a beginning, JunSu has officially started his solo activities. At the same time, together with JaeJoong and YooChun, they have also started their activities as a three-person unit, where they were named as JYJ. In June, the 3 of them held their ‘Thanksgiving Live in Dome’ concert at both Osaka Kyocera Dome and Tokyo Dome. Though every single one in Tohoshinki has the ability of being a lead vocal, JunSu is the most outstanding one among them. And his dance and performance appraisals are the highest too. Believe he is going to exert all of his abilities to full potential during his solo activities promotion. Also, his twin brother has just debuted, which is something to take note of.

‘Girls Award’ that was held on the 22nd May is an event that was based on the idea above. This is also the official comeback performance for Erika Sawajiri, who at the same time announced the release of her new song. However the main focus of the night that caused fans to flock to the event, was none other than Xiah JunSu. Because the order of the performances was not disclosed beforehand, JunSu’s fans had waited up to 5 and a half hours. Just at the moment where the fans were not able to wait any longer, the big screen flashed the words ‘Asia’s No.1 Singer’, JunSu has appeared. The whole event hall was then covered by red lightsticks instantly and exploded with screams.

The first song was ‘Intoxication’. Dressed in black and performing together with his dancers to give an energetic stage. The sounds of his solo stage exposed an overwhelming existence.

During the MC section, he stated, “Really happy to be able to attend Girls Award”, and he continued to introduce his solo single that will be released on the 26th May. During the talk, he cupped his hand on his ear and asked the audience, “Is everyone high?”

The matured JunSu is back.

JunSu, with the catchy lyrics and rhythm of his song, has incited everyone to explode with vitality. Yes, that’s the introduction to his composed piece ‘Xiahtic’. Just the introduction alone made everyone highly excited. From the starting to the end, the screaming from the fans has never stopped. During the sexy dance with the female dancer, it has sparked a wave of adult-like feelings. At the bridge of the song, JunSu led his dancers and walked passed the centre walkway and disclosed a dazzling dance move at the centre stage. Towards the end of the song, he removed his jacket, lightly licked his lips with a really sexy expression. The last scene was the kiss with the female dancer? Even so, his dance had not ended.

What we clearly see is not only the Tohoshinki’s JunSu, but a solo single, Xiah JunSu. Lastly he waved at the audience with both arms and bowed. Bringing with him a grown-up look that we have not seen before, growing up at twice the speed and returning back on stage.

On Sunday, I already wrote a little bit about story of 3 people concert, Jejung, Yuchun, and Junsu in Tokyo.

The concert was very impressive, but of course as always, Junsu’s singing and dancing was the best.

There, I also met the stylist who was responsible for the special edition feature which is now in the middle of sale, and the stylist said that Junsu purchased the whole attires he wore at page 90. The attires consist of tweed jacket and a pair of matching tuxedo pants, he already said during the photographing session that they’re his favorite, but seemed that he’s truly loving them.

Junsu, he really has eyes on fashion, somehow, I think it’s a nice story to share.

Welcome Back
On 12 & 13 June, JunSu, JeJung and YuChun held performances at Tokyo Dome. In order to express their thoughts and feelings to the 50,000 plus fans who had been watching over them, they sang 《いつだって君に》 and a few new songs passionately and with all the feelings they held within them for so long. There was not much emphasis on the stage equipment, instead, the spotlight was on the soul-filled, passionate singing, along with the three’s individual personalities, overwhelming sense of presence and powerful abilities. On the other hand, during the MC segment, every fan was tickled by YuChun’s innocent smile when he was teased about his kissing scene in his drama, and touched at the same time by that comfortable familiarity. At the end, the three of them sang a new song w while facing each other, converging the feelings that they felt then. Gradually, weeping noises came from amongst the audience, and the one who said that they did not want to cry on stage and that “to be able to stand on stage at the Dome is like a dream” (YuChun), could not help but choked on his words. Regarding the CD with their new songs, it has not been confirmed yet, but we will definitely be looking out for their activities from now onwards.

“Everyone must have a lot to say to us. We are very well aware of it. There are times when we cannot cry even though we really want to, so while we are standing here on stage, we wish to let it all out, to our hearts’ content, including what we have held back in previously.” That was what was expressed by the trio before the performance at Osaka.

“Then again, when we see everyone gathered in front of us, full of smiles on your faces, it might not be the right time to cry, and because we are blessed by your smiles, we would like to personally face everything with a smile too.” JeJung expressed to everyone towards the end of the performance.

JeJung and YuChun have appeared as actors before everyone through Mizuki’s sunao ni narenakute and BeeTV’s television drama respectively, while JunSu has also released his first solo track intoxication. After having focused on their own solo activities for a period of time, the gathering of the trio caused a great excitement at the event.

Furthermore, mostly at the Tokyo Dome’s event, numerous big-scaled and rarely seen stage equipments were added, including the tilting runways and clear big screens at all corners of the stage. No matter where one was seated at in the huge auditorium, one could always see the trio clearly and up-close. However, there was a trace of surprise on their faces as the platform started going up while they sung いつだって君に at the opening. During the MC segment, one could also see that they were quite nervous. As this performance was only carried out through four sessions at two venues, Tokyo and Osaka, fans from all over the world vied for tickets for the performances. But through detailed accounts, we still hoped to let everyone, especially for the fans who were not able to make it for the event live, experience for themselves how spectacular the event were.

Frankly speaking, though, what was more precious than the event was what JeJung was trying to convey through the words that he had spoken earlier. In the opening of the MC segment, JunSu said, “If I am unable to sing again, then it would be no different from dying, so from here on I still want to continue to sing, for as long as I can, with all my might.” YuChun also said after that, “Having seen how everyone have encouraged us with your love, the only thing I can do is to work even harder, and I also hope that there will be even more a mutual understanding between (everyone and) us, and we are very grateful for how everyone has waited for us.” After this, JeJung honestly expressed his feelings by saying, “We are really thankful that so many people have attended this performance.

From everyone’s perspective, even though we are unable to be by everyone’s side realistically, we are really grateful for this, just being able to have you sing together with us, smile with us and cry with us. We are also motivated by this, and we will work even harder from now onwards to reciprocate everyone’s love. Please continue to support us in the future.” Probably (and I really mean probably) what the trio never thought of, was that the lyrics of the last song long way and the encore song w really described what everyone felt,

“Even though we are separated now/But because there is still a future to move towards/We do not want to lie to ourselves. Facing the future a step at a time/Forging towards the road ahead. Even though I cannot be with you now/But I will never ever forget you/I will always guard the place where you are/Just for that moment when we will be able to meet again. All the effort that I am putting in now/It is all because I want to meet you again.”

Such lyrics can be comprehended simply as lyrics of a love song, or lyrics that has a deeper meaning, but no matter what, what the trio can do now is to work hard and move forward, to prepare well for the activities from here on, to look ahead, to strive on. Is it not good the way it is now? To do what we can to help the three of them, and the future, whether if it is to the three of them, or to everyone who is continually giving them support, is it not filled with dreams and hopes?

Through the three hours while keeping this in mind, the trio also announced during the performance that they have decided to participate in a-nation this summer, and that the new tracks that they have performed will also be released soon. The trio also shared on stage later, in order to meet all the fans in Japan, they will work harder from now onwards to hold more live events. Yesterday, June 26, I went to Yunho’s HTTG fan meeting at Tokyo International Forum!

I went to the evening version, starting 18:00. The Tokyo International Forum was full, up to 5000 fans.

The lights were down, and Yunho’s voice came out. He was speaking of the drama; the drama work was decided in the first of 2009, and that he was worried that he should take the leading role in his first drama, and such. His message was for about 10 minutes, he was speaking in broken Japanese, lol. Yunho, keep it up!
First the audience was cheering, but immediately they were quiet to hear Yunho’s voice. Yunho’s fans are always serious, attagal!

Yunho himself appeared on stage! He was wearing a black jacket, the collar part glittering in the lights. Underneath he was wearing a black tank top, and I could also see a white line. (Maybe he was wearing two tank tops? ) Jeans. Black sneakers with thick soles.
Since I was sitting in the 12th row, I was able to see almost the life size Yunho! Kya~~~kya~~~ He was cool looking, good figure!!! He was smiling his soft and tender smile, sooooooo lovely!
He had in his hand a soccer ball, and he made a goal! Oh, our Cha Bong Gun is on stage, great!

After exchanging greetings with the MC (a woman who seemed to be much older than Yunho, lol), urged by the MC, Yunho moon walked on stage, lightly spinning around at the last. The dancing Yunho, so cool & handsome! Please dance till the end! (lol)

Ara –chan also appeared~~so cute, tall, slender, and so young! (She said that she was just 20 years old, and called Yunho “Yuno-oppa” throughout the talks.). She had lovely Japanese pronunciation. Yunho and Ara are truly a good looking couple, I was crazy with jealously, lol.

The next 40 minutes was the talk show about the drama. For Yunho and Ara to concentrate on their roles, they were speaking in Korean, with the translator in between. Really?! Yunho, did you forget your Japanese? (lol)

The contents of the talks were based on the video “Yunho selected best 3, the parts where he wanted the fans to see his acting performance”. In between, we heard Yunho and Ara’s comments in Korean, and the translator translated their words to Japanese. I was delighted to hear the fluent Korean from Yunho’s mouth, but, ummmm……honestly, I had a sense of discomfort. We Japanese are used to hear Tohoshinki’s Japanese, however funny and broken it should be. It seemed as though I was in a regular Korean wave actor’s fan meeting. The time seemed to flow at a slow speed.

Yunho and Ara went backstage, and the backstage images for the drama’s OST (to be released on August 25) was shown. The backstage images were those taken during Yunho’s HTTG mini-promotion in May, there should be approx 5 minutes of the video).

Again, Yunho appeared on stage, in the same clothes. Starting from here, Yunho started to talk in Japanese with the MC. I was relieved. Yunho, you haven’t forgotten your Japanese, maybe you could not make out the difficult sentences, lol
Here there was a brain teaser. The audience selected the right answer, so 20 people were selected to be the winners of the special event poster, with Yunho’s original signature. Yunho selected the winners from the box, and the seat numbers were announced from the MC. Every time the winners were announced, there was cheers and sighs from the audience.

The last was approaching. Yunho gave us a message “I will do my best in the future in order to show a different Yunho . Please hold up the hope. Yunho was saying the words clearly and cheerfully, maybe he was able to overcome some difficulties, his words were strong and positive, laughing in between his lovely “Ahaha” laugh. I was relieved and also very happy to see the cheerful Yunho!

Since it was a rather quiet time ( I was sitting for all the 90 minutes, never this situation happens in their concerts), Yunho took the lead and the audience sent a shout-out to the Korean national soccer team, their game in the World cup was to scheduled to be held on the same evening.

Lastly, Yunho said the phrase that we all know, “Mata aeru karane (we will be able to meet again)”. Hearing those words, I was in tears. Yunho went backstage looking back to the audience, waving his hand.

Yunho, thank you for your lovely smile~~lovin’ you always!

Q. How do you find Xiah Junsu, having performed in the musical “Mozart!” together with him?

- He is really excellent. There are four main lead actors for “Mozart”, and amongst the four of them, he was the first to have memorized the lines, the actions and the lyrics. He was very hardworking during the rehearsals, and he always had this determination to want to give his best. A few days ago I heard he won the best newcomer award in “The Musical Awards”, and I was worried that people who have not seen him performed would say that “it was an award won based on popularity”. In the musical I play the role that antagonizes Mozart, but because (Junsu) was so outstanding in his acting, I even felt apologetic about having to oppose him. I told him before, that I hope he will continue doing this, and he himself also expressed that he wishes to carry on performing in musicals.

[FANACCOUNT] 100626 - JYJ in Los Angeles Airport

So, around 1:00 AM I got the message that JaeSu were on their way to LA. I couldn’t sleep well and had to rely on energy drink in the morning . This is my 2nd attempt going to the airport. The 1st time was when Yunho went back to Korea but I didn’t succeed that time. I arrived at LAX around 10:00AM and found Reiko, her sis, and her mom (I envy them so much because I wish my mom and my sis could be fans of them too). Waiting and waiting, waiting and waiting, I was praying inside because I wouldn’t want to miss them again. When I was waiting, the song Run Devil Run kept popping up in my head lol. I got so bored after a while and began looking around. Reiko on the other hand kept her eyes fixed at the gate ^^. When I said something, she was surprised, I found that so cute ^^.

Ok, no more ranting. HERE THEY COME. I smiled and waved at them but got no reaction lol. I got my camera ready to film them but after I saw them, I just gave up because I’d rather stare at them with my own eyes than through camera. There were around 20-30 fans around so I’m pretty sure someone would take much better vids and pics than I would. I was so disappointed when I saw Jae and Su wearing mask. Well, at least I could see Jae’s eyes. Everyone screamed when they saw them (I didn’t though XD). We ran towards the exit and I still had time to look at people’s reactions, they were like “what’s going on” and I heard an ajumma said in Korean “who’s that?” They got a little lost after they got out and I found Jae’s reaction really cute, just like a lost child. (Sorry, I was focusing too much on Jae that I didn’t see much of Junsu. )

We were following them outside and I expected to see a car coming to pick them up right away. However, fortunately, they are going to the parking lot instead which meant more walking time ^^. When they crossed the street, I was following and I was surprised that most fans stayed behind. I was checking if I did anything wrong lol. Anyway, they followed shortly after. When we were waiting for the crossing light to turn on, Jae stood really close behind Junsu, like really really close. I was amused because I felt like Jae was finding some safety behind Junsu with the fans around lol. After crossing the street, they took the stairs and we fans took the elevators. Oh, that was when I saw YooChun’s back. I was surprised because I was informed that only JaeSu would come. I recognized his back right away because it looked exactly like in the pics. We went to the 2nd floor, I didn’t see the car so I just followed other fans. The 1st thing I did was checking the car plate. BUT, there was no car plate T_T. I think it was a white BMW. Anyway, I heard screaming and when I looked inside the car, they took their mask off. I saw Jae looking at my direction (heart stopped for a moment XD). I waved goodbye to them as they left.


This is my 2nd time seeing the members. 1st time was Hollywood Bowl. My feelings are always messed up after I see them. I think I’m not the type to scream when I get too nervous/excited/shocked. I was silent the whole time (yes, even during their performances at Hollywood Bowl and the same thing happened this time). I guess I was too much in a daze upon seeing them, time just stopped and I didn’t exactly know what was going on. The best I can come up with to describe how I feel is the whole world just turns black and white and they are the only ones in colors lol (Well, the time in Hollywood Bowl, all I could see was Min ^^). Both time happened so fast that I didn’t think I ever saw them at all.

Some other thoughts: I was closest to Jae and the closest I got was 1m with fans ahead of me. So, I didn’t “smell” them, touch them or anything like that XD. Jae is not as tall as I thought and he’s not as skinny as I thought. Also, I saw 2 guy fans there. One looks very professional filming them and the other just trails behind like me. Just think I have to mention guy fans because they are very RARE.

Anyway, that’s the 1st fan account I ever wrote. I promise the girl who helped me out with the info that I would write one. Hope you like it and I will make sure to let you know if I get a chance to see them when they stay here.

Just want to share my experience with meeting JYJ. Last night after coming home from the movies after 1 am. I got the news that JYJ will be arriving to LA tomorrow. I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep. I check LAX to make sure the time of Korean Air and Asiana flights that were coming frim Korea Woke up at 6:30 and got to the airport at 7:40. I was wondering if any other fans will be there or not. Around 9:30, i notice that there were a few fans also waiting Around 11ish, there were more fans waiting. Waited until around 12:50 pm, saw Jaejoong and Junsu walking out of the terminal. Start taking pictures and running toward them. jaejoong was going to the wrong way and the staff had to call him a few times before he notice he was going the wrong way. Lol Didn’t see Yoochun at first and wondering where he was. I turned around and notice Yoochun was walking out. Everyone start taking pictures of him, I was face to face with Jaejoong and I totally forgot to take his picture. Too shock to do so. Lolz I can’t believe I actually saw them. I follow them until they went up the stairs to their car. So happy to actually get to see them. I dead and went to Heaven. Lolz

you guys dont know how completed and happy i feel right now…i just met the loves of my lives JYJ…this morning at 1 am i found out they were coming so i looked for any clues pointing out which flights they were on nd as luck would have it EUREKA i found it. it was the 11:30 flight from asiana. this morning i woke up at 7:40 am crying and begging my mom to take me so she did(: when we got there it was around 9:50 and there wasnt that much fans there so we just stood at the entrance area and waited. we waited until 12 something when the boys FINALLY came out. i was so happy to see them so i was muffling my mouth and screaming ohmygod ohmygod and always keep the faith over and over again. jae was weariing a black blazer with jeans, black shoes and a mask while su wore jeans..i forgot the shirt…a hat and a mask. as jae and su got closer to me they looked at me and started laughin probably thinking how crazy i looked :/ LOL they didnt have security with them this time so all the fans crowded around them but gave them some personal space. i noticed today that jaejoong has really slow reaction hahaha when they were supposed to walk out jaesu were walking the wrong way so the guy told them to come this way and su went but jae kept on going. the man had to call his name again till he heard and he answered with his cute o? >< style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">Credit: ChloeluvsDBSK@DBSKnights

I went at the airport at 9:30am and waited and waited… lol when I went there was 2 fans and us only. When it past 12pm people came gradually and I was sitting waiting where I can see where they come out. I couldn’t see clearly because of the angle but the reflection of the rock showed someone with a white thing near that persons head and I was got my camera ready thinking it was them. Then I saw JJ so I just screamed “jaejoong!” right away lol then everyone got ready and JJ and Junsu came out! Everyone ran to them and iwas like where’s yoochun!? But my mom gave a rose to JJ and he accepted! Junsu had a cap and mask on too.. Junsu got a rose from my friend (hes so nice). My mom told Jaejoong “someones calling you” and he said “doko?(where)” in japanese!! so sweet of him<3>yoochun coming out slowly (as if he were hiding lol) and noone knew it was him! So I was filming and I gave him my gift which he accepted. He smiled when I gave it to him!!! then people noticed and came too yoochun. He was so skinny and smaller then excepted. he was saying “excuse me” and went through. When Yoochun was trying to go out people pushed and my sister got pushed to his cart. He ran over her foot with the cart LOL Yoochun was pushing baggage’s but before walking the cross street (jj and junsu already went) the staff came to take over the baggage and walked but he noticed he left his bag so he went back but he was holding my gift the wholee time! And as they were walking yoochun and jj was talking and junsu was infront walking. JJ seemed tired and he oh my, he had the most beautiful eyes. Junsu’s shirts tag was STILL out! Lol they walked to their car but took the stairs so noone can go up. So we ran to the elevator and I found their car so just ran there lol after they went in junsu(sitting in the front) took his mask off and smiled! JJ was looking at the fans and YC was looking too but still has his sunglasses on. They left in their car ): and now it is 1:17 pm.

—edited, added some parts i forgot lol it was funny since my sister was filming Yoochun and i was too so it was like sister yoochun and me so i yelled to her “you take JJ!” and to know that yoochun understands japanese… lol and my sister was like ” wheres junsu!?” the whole time when he was infront of her lol he mustve heard that too -_- haha anyway they were so cute<3>

100626 “I Drank A Lot Of Water, And Fainted” – Yunho On The Pains Of His Debut Acting Experience

On 26 June, Tohoshinki’s Jung Yunho was present at the Tokyo International Forum Hall as an actor, for his debut starring role in the drama “No Limit ~Heading to the ground~”, and it’s DVD release event. The event included Yunho’s personal selection of “My best scenes TOP 3” in the drama. He revealed that during the scene where he sank to the river bed, he actually stayed in under water for 2 minute, drinking a lot of water, and eventually fainted. He said, “I just resigned myself to drinking the water, and tried my best to shoot the scene,” explaining his feelings during that time, and the audience clapped warmly when he said this.

This drama is about soccer player Cha Bong Goon (Yunho) who aims to be a world class player, but is faced with problems such as his team breaking up, and struggles as he grows and how love blossoms among the ones around him. It is a youth love comedy drama. Two versions of the DVD Box set “No Limit ~Heading to the Ground~ Complete Series DVD BOX 1” and “~DVD BOX 2.” They sold over 14,000 copies within the first week, taking both first and second position on the Oricon Chart Ranking in the Drama category.

Incidentally, this event comes at a time where both Japan and Korea have qualified for the knockout rounds in the World Cup. Yunho, who usually plays the position of goalkeeper when he plays soccer in private, declared about the two countries, “With this fighting spirit, I think and hope that we can get into the final 4!” His favourite soccer player is Keisuke Honda, the instrumental playmaker who helped determine Japan’s victory over Denmark. “ His shooting and kicks are very good”, he said, complimenting Japan’s ace player.

Assessing his debut acting performance, Yunho said “For this show, I had to study how soccer players walk, and became one once I put on the jersey.” Still, “I’m not 100% satisfied with my first challenge in acting, but through this drama, I have matured and grown,” he responded. “This drama is a learning experience, and I want to become stronger and work harder for the future”, he said, showing enthusiasm for similar activities in the future.

Also present at the event was the female lead, popular Korean actress (Go) Ara. With a talk show, card quiz and other activities, the 5000 fans that purchased the limited edition DVD and attended this event was full of smiles from the start till the end.
