[TRANS] JaeChunSu: The Truths & the Lies

Most of this is old news so I've only translated a summary of the article.

1. What is the point of this article?

Ever since the three members filed the lawsuit, the internet has been flooded with unconfirmed reports and false claims, and such rumors have spread to fans in foreign countries including China and Japan etc. The point of this article is to clear up some of the rumors about the three members so that they will not be wrongly accused.

2. Did the three members demand 10 billion won each from SM?

The trio's lawyer Lim Sang Hyuk stated that '”We have asked that SM Entertainment pay each member one billion Won first. The amount we file for compensation will increase but ten billion Won, which is the amount reported in some news articles, is a false report. We have not yet decided upon a final compensation amount.”

Whilst the trio have not filed lawsuit seeking a compensation of this amount, reports of them demanding 10 billion won from SM have spread quickly throughout the Korean media and such erroneous reports have yet to be corrected. This is a typical SM strategy: 'adding a zero after the initial figure' to mislead the audience, the same tactic was employed in the case with Crebeau, where members of the public were misguided and manipulated.

According to SM's contracts, if an artist were to violate the contract, then they would have to pay a sum of 400 billion won.

3. Did the letters 'CJ' appear in 'Heaven's Postman'?

Funds for the production for 'Heaven's Postman' came from the Korean Film Council, the financial industry as well as the distributing company itself.

There are 2 possible explanations for 'CJ' appearing in the movie:

1. During the filming of 'Heaven's Postman', Youngwoong Jaejoong was still under SM Entertainment. The production company accepted funds from CGV (a company under CJ which is also responsible for the production of Changmin's TV series)

2. 'Heaven's Postman' is distributed by CJ

4. Is the trio's new manager involved in triad activities?

Kim Yong Ho wrote two articles in total; the first claims the trio's manager to be a triad member whilst the second clarifies that he is not. Unfortunately, whilst the first article has spread to countries outside of Korea and Japan, the second has not gained much public attention.

Such harsh accusations not only lack reliability, they can also be considered slander against the three members.

5. Is there a big-name company funding the production of JaeChunSu's worldwide album?

The production and distribution of the trio's album will be managed by a company in the US, but the album itself is targeted at audiences throughout Asia.

6. What is the intent of spreading these false reports?

SM is manipulating the three members' status as artists to impair their image and make the three of them lose value.

By stirring up conflict and prolonging the lawsuit, SM hopes to minimize the company's losses.

7. What should we do as fans?

Whilst SM has persisted in misleading the public by spreading lies and rumors, the three members have yet to do anything to defame SM. When faced with large corporations such as SM, as powerless individuals, there is nothing we can do other than to accept the company's manipulation through the media.

Fans of all people, should understand that 'If there weren't an unfair contract, then there wouldn't be a lawsuit'

As fans, we must distant ourselves from these fictitious reports and rumors and calmly await the decision of the court. In the mean time, please continue to look over and protect the trio.

[TRANS] 100702 Tohoshinki – Stable #1 On Oricon Charts

Even though the group’s activities have been suspended, Tohoshinki’s potential is still amazing.

On the 30th of last month, Tohoshinki’s new albums ” Single B-Side Collection” and “Single A-Side Collection” respectively achieved #1 and #2 on the Oricon charts the day they were officially released.

The next day on July 1, “Single A-Side Collection” claimed #1 and “Single B-Side Collection” held #2 position, both gaining immense popularity.

Although the albums aren’t regular records, they still include all of Tohoshinki’s singles that were released in Japan, which increases the value as a collectible and causes a massive inclination of sales.

Tohoshinki’s total album sales for the top half of the year holds third place overall.

Recently, the 3 Tohoshinki members Xiah Junsu, Hero Jejung, and Micky Yuchun, that are involved in a lawsuit over their contract with SM Entertainment, are recording in America with Asia as their main target. Respectively, U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin are currently involved in the musical “Goong” and the television drama “Paradise Meadow”.

TVXQ Yunho whose group is currently in activity suspension declared, “I want to show all fans the new Yunho”.

DVD-BOX of ‘No Limit~Heading to The Ground’ which is the first Korean starring drama of inactive TVXQ leader Yunho was just released. During the interview, Yunho shared experiences about his first challenge as an actor, story behind the scenes, and also spoke about future activities.

The drama is about a protagonist named Cha Bong Gun who is a talented yet trouble maker soccer player, the whole story tells about his hard struggle both in love and soccer, portraying the fresh/young figure of the character.

‘No Limit~Heading to The Ground’ was already broadcast in Korea last year, the fact that it was Yunho’s first acting attempt in drama was garnering a lot of interest at that time. There are many interesting scenes in this drama, other than the definitely soccer scenes, there were also scenes such as diving into water, fire scenes, and more.

Yunho has made it to be a huge artist in music area, however as for drama, it would be his first time. “On stage, I show everyone a tough and strong image, however as an actor in this drama, I have to show a soft and gentle image of Yunho, therefore (through this drama), I’m able to show all of you the new side of me.” he said with confident look on him. He then continued, “Even in the future, I feel the challenge to show you even more various sides of Yunho.” he made a firm promise. Seems that Yunho will keep challenging the chance to be an actor.

As Yunho looked back to what happened during the filming, “For the filming, even between one schedule to another, I still practiced soccer. It was hard, but I feel matured through this experience.” he smiled. Yunho also said that due to his role as a soccer player, he slowly began to actually liking the sport as well, just like how he already favorites other sports such as snowboarding and basketball. During the interview, Yunho answered each question politely. Being a sincere and friendly character Yunho is, tells all the reasons of why he got all the popularity in Japan since the first time.

When he was asked about the actor he concerned the most, “For actor, it’s Takeshi Kaneshiro. He has own uniqueness,” he replied. While name as Hayao Miyazaki was mentioned as his favorite Japanese movie maker.

For his first musical stage ‘Goong’ (role as Prince Lee Shin), Yunho revealed that they already started practicing. “Because I like writing, I also have a dream that one day I’ll write my own script.” saying his future wish.

The future activity range of Yunho seems to be infinite. “Even during the painful times, I’ll try to be positive and believe in myself. From now on, I’m going to work even harder, so that I’m able to show all the fans the new Yunho!” he said with bright eyes. He committed himself, “Absolutely not wanting any regrets!” he said. In the future to challenge various things, looks that he’ll keep entertaining us.

The popular Japanese idol KAT-TUN was impressed with the success of Korean stars in Japan.

The 6 members male group KAT-TUN visited South Korea on the 1st of July. The boys came to Korea to meet their Korean fans prior to their upcoming first concert in Korea that will be held for two days from August 6th – 8th at Seoul Olympic Park.

On the day, KAT-TUN members Tanaka Koki and Taguchi Junnosuke said, “We have met Big Bang, BoA, and TVXQ through music program broadcasts. They’re really successful in Japan,” praising the Korean singers’ career.

[FANACCOUNT] 100626 - JYJ at LAX airport

JYJ ARRIVES AT LAX AIRPORT

I wasn't going to write a fan account but I feel I owe it to all the fan accounts that I have read.

I've been a fan of TVXQ for some years now. Not being Korean or Japanese, I found myself to be quite surprised to have fallen in love with 5 boys that I do not even understand. Accepting my infatuation, I dropped American music almost completely, and accepting my situation, I knew it would be a very rare chance for me to be able to see them in person. Ever.

...until the day I saw JYJ leaving Incheon, Korea for LAX, USA.

It was close to 2:00 am. I have been behind my updates on TVXQ, deciding I needed a slight break after the constant updates online after the JYJ Thanksgiving concert. I was close to going to bed, but something made me check one TVXQ site I faithfully follow. And there it was, JYJ leaving for America. I spent the next hour or so checking anything I could find to pinpoint their arrival.

Their plane landed at 11:30 as many fans have already reported. During the wait, I kept trying to spot fans or even a driver for them or any security. I did spot fans but was always wrong when trying to guess the driver, they were always picking someone else! JYJ were out an hour later, with JJ and JS out first with masks on. Honestly, I recognized JJ right away and didn't recognize JS at all. I wasn't standing near the exact arrival entrance but knew the instant they arrived because a swarm of girls started running. JJ and JS didn't exactly leave the airport right away. They just stood there, as if lost as to where to go or what to do. I, being an absolute YC fan, waited for YC. Then he comes strolling out last, pausing in the middle of the airport a bit, like he didn't want to move towards JJ, JS, and the fans. YC looked really skinny and much smaller in person. JJ was a very healthy build as well as JS. Eventually they all made it out, slowly. I'm sure most of us fans were expecting them to be picked up by a car and so were greatly surprised to see them proceed towards the crosswalk and parking structure. I got myself one great photo of YC and was done but decided to follow the pack as well. JYJ were quiet as they walked. I'm sure they were tired, but they never showed any annoyance or anger at the fans. I have to admit, we were quite close. Right next to them. And even though it seems very frantic and crazy on all the fancams, it was a very peaceful walk.

..and I may never see them again. But I was happy.

If I may also speak on behalf of some, if not all, international fans. We do not get the opportunity to ever see TVXQ live in concert or visit their sets when they're filming. We do not get to see them bowling or drinking at a bar. All information we have access to are posted online from fan accounts and videos, which we depend on and are forever grateful. Considering TVXQ does not visit America often, we are not professional stalkers. Saying this, it upsets me that in trying to return the favor to fans around the world by providing you with our material, we are getting backlashed and in turn, feeling the need to take down some of our videos. Most of us here in America never thought the day would come where we would meet TVXQ. When watching the LAX videos, please see our love and excitement for them. What most fans feel at their concerts over the past few years, all 20 of us at LAX that day felt in just 4 minutes.
