Jaejoong’s beondegi (steamed silkworm chrysalis) picture has international fans in shock.

JYJ member YoungWoong Jaejoong presented his fans with ‘beondegi’ instead of chocolate for Valentine’s Day. Right before the end of Valentine’s Day, YoungWoong Jaejoong uploaded a photo of a plate of beondegi covered in chili peppers and said, “Beondegi instead of chocolate”.

The reaction from international fans has Koreans fans smiling. They were in shock as they said, “Oppa, what is that? Seems like an insect”, “What-_-;??”, “Did you eat this?”, “iyyyyyyy bad T_T” They even worried about YoungWoong Jaejoong’s health as they said, “How could you eat things like this!!!!” and “Don’t eat, oppa!! It’s not healthy!!”

To this, Korean netizens said, “kekekeke What cuties, they’re scared by beondegi keke”, “It’s a tasty dish~ It’s not a bad thing, it’s a healthy, nutritious snack^^ It could be better than chocolate?” and “Maybe we should put beondegi in Korean tourist books…”

[NEWS] JYJ International Fans Hold a “Recognition of Human Rights” Signature Campaign in 10 Languages

The ongoing exclusive contract litigation between SM Entertainment and JYJ has reached the international fans of the group.

On the 14th international fans of JYJ has taken aim to spread a signature campaign for the recognition and protection of JYJ’s Legal and Human Rights.

This signature campaign has opened in 10 languages for all international fans including English, Chinese, Japanese, and more. However South Korea fans are unable to participate.

This signature campaign is scheduled to be submitted as petition to the court in relation to JYJ’s lawsuit case of void contract. Fans also shared their complaints about JYJ lawsuit impacts that has resulted in the many restrictions to hold their promotional activities such as appearing in Korea TV music programs.

Priorly the JYJ fans also made a supporting message for their idols on January 27th in form of bus advertisement. At a total of 120 buses operating in Korea major cities such as Seoul, Gwangju, Daejeon, Daegu, and Busan, fans put ad message ‘We Cheer for Your Youth’, the ad had revolved for about a month long.

[NEWS] 101128 JYJ Held The First Worldwide Concert in Seoul… 35,000 Enthusiastic Fans

JYJ (Youngwoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu) showed a brilliant stage once the curtain rose at their first worldwide concert ‘JYJ Worldwide Concert in Seoul’.

JYJ opened their concert on November 27th at 20:00 at Jamsil Olympic Stadium, Seoul by expressing condolences to the bereaved families of all soldiers and victims of gunfire incident at Yeonpyeongdo island, the members wished a soon recovery while also said their gratitude to audiences who held donation for charity to the victims.

Under the direction of worldwide director Jeri Slaughter, JYJ completed their concert by showing a splendid performance. JYJ successfully lived up their astonished skill reputation without fail. The concert was conducted for about 150 minutes, despite the cold weather that suddenly hit the country, local and overseas fans of more than 35,000 people had attended the venue.

JYJ began the stage with performances of their hit songs ‘Ayyy Girl’ and ‘Chajatta’ before proceeding to the solo stages of each members’ self composed songs. At Jaejoong’s ‘Still in Love’ performance, he had a sexy choerography with one of the female dancer that drew a jealousy cheers from all fans. Yoochun performed two songs namely ‘I Love You’ and ‘Chwi jung jin dam (Drunken Truth)’ (T/N: Fly To The Sky’s song), an explosive power of the songs came out from his soft singing voice. While Junsu wrapped a stage with song called ‘Empty’ (T/N: I think it’s wrong? shouldn’t it ‘I Can Soar’?) that featured a large orchestra on stage which blended in a fantastic harmony. There were also new songs that were disclosed for the first time and got a hot response from fans such as ‘Nine’, ‘Fallen Leaves’, ‘Mission make it’.

At the song ‘Be My Girl Remix’ JYJ and their fans became one in the performance. A few days before the concert, Junsu taught fans the songs’ choreography through video that was uploaded via twitter, therefore as the song began, JYJ members successfully carried through a passionate stage together with all the audiences.

Meanwhile the concert official said, “The installation of the venue roof structure was completed already, however due to sudden hail fall in the morning, before the concert started we had to completely remove it to prevent any accidents.” In midst of performance, Yoochun said in regret, “We have prepared a roof ready to present audiences the best concert, however in concern to everyone’s safety, the roof structure was removed.” but fans chanted “We’re alright!” to comfort the members’ feeling.

Unfortunately, it will cost $800 for 1000 lightsticks and we can’t come up with that kind of money in such a short time. So in order to create a FULL RED OCEAN, we’ll need all the support we can get. [PROJECT] HoMin day!

So… what is this all about? Well, lately we have a lot of information, photos, fancams, music, showcases, videos, and everything from JYJ. And that is AWESOME, isn’t it? We’re happy for them and with them and it’s really nice to see them so active.

BUT.

JYJ is only 3/5. Where are the other 2/5? Yunho and Changmin are not that active right now. Changmin could be even called a hermit… But does this mean we love them less? Does this mean we are already forgetting them? Not caring about them?

NO.

So this is why this thing has been done, to show our love and support for the other 2 members of the 5 gods. They deserve it too, wherever they are, whatever they are doing

So, how do we do this? Easy:

SPAM!

Spam everywhere with HoMin related things! Post pictures of them, edits of their pictures, macros, fanarts, quotes, songs, fanvideos, videos… whatever you want! Anything related to them, and your love for them, is welcomed.

To make this more ‘funny’ and to try to persuade people to participate, I created a small contest. It’s a really easy one! Here, at this post that will be kept public, post a link to the sites where you will be spamming HoMin love, or the user name of your twitter/tumblr/livejournal/whatever where you will post it all. The sites have to be public, since this is a spreading the love everywhere contest! ;P

Me and a couple of other Yunho and Changmin biased people (XD) will check all the links and spams around, and decide who contributed the most to spread the HoMin love. That person will be the winner! And what will the prize be? The only thing I can offer: a fanart by me. Since this is HoMin day, it would basically be Yunho or Changmin, but if the winner is biased towards other member, it’s also ok! Anything TVXQ related will be ok ^^ Plus, if the money and the post service of my country (^^U) allows it, I’ll send a folded A3 poster version of the draw to the winner ^^. It’s always better to have it in your hands, isn’t it? ;P

So, the basic rules:

1. The contest will have a length of 24 hours (HoMin DAY, not week %D) from 08/8 am on the 11th of november until 08/8 am on the 12th of november. (GMT/UTC time, adapt it to your countries ;P)
2. Everything is welcomed as a way of support to them: your favorite photos of them, a song that reminds you of them, your favorite song by them, or video, or a draw you’ve done, or a writing you’ve done about them, etc etc.
3. All sites welcomed for the spam, as long as they are public and can be checked by everybody. We want to spread the love to them, and we want the world to see it!
4. You can post as much as you want during the day. The more you post, the more chances of winning!
5. You can post about the both of them, or Yunho alone, or Changmin alone. All is valid as long as it is about them two ^^
6. No couple stuff, please. This is a message for them as the people they are, and to show them we support them, so nothing that could offend them in any way, please. Let’s be neutral! ^^
7. No mentions of 5-2=0, 5-3=0, COMEBACKNOW, and stuff like that. As much as some fans are hurting, this is to show love and support, not to put more pressure on them.
8. The winner will be anounced the night of the 12/10/10, or during the 13/10/10 at this community I’ll proceed to contact said winner through said post on the community or by private message to ask for what they’ll want as a prize.

So come on, participate!! It’s an easy thing to do, you don’t have to work much on it nor prepare much stuff for it. And they both deserve all our love. They have been there for long years too, loving us, giving us their souls, their music, their lives. Let’s show them that we’re still here for them, as well as for JYJ ^^

[PROJECT] White Ocean



For all the fans attending New York Showcase in 6 days, we have a simple project for you!

Remember the beautiful blue sea during Stand By U at TSC Dome concert that brought a smile onto their faces? We will be doing something similar for the New York showcase!

For this project, we will be trying to change the color of the “Red Ocean” to a “White Ocean” for one song,
Chajatta-Found You (SKKS OST).

Instructions:
1) Have your cellphone charged and ready for the day
2) Change the background of your cellphone to a solid white background
3) When they announce Chajatta-Found You, turn off your lightsticks (the red ones)
4) Hold up your cellphone as if it is a lightstick for the duration of the song
5) Spread this news to your friends so they can join in on the fun too
Note: Remember to turn off the timer for your backlight so your cellphone can stay on throughout the whole song!

We are collecting donations to print out the instructions
on papers so we can distribute them at the venue.
This way, people who do not know of the project can still join in.

WHAT WILL THIS VIDEO BE ABOUT?

A year has passed since our boys have stopped performing together as 5. So this video will be about your thoughts as a fan in the past year. This is not a video meant for any bashing or support for any particular side. It’s meant to be a sincere video about how you truly felt as a fan in the past year and your wishes for the future.

Please try to participate and give a REAL INTERNATIONAL representation for this video! If there aren’t enough entries, the video will not be completed.

HOW DO WE GET INVOLVED?

1) Register

Email dbskfansongproject@gmail.com with your name and country by 15th November 2010, Monday (Seoul Time) to register. Please register only if you do wish to submit. I had quite a few people who registered and never submitted their videos for the last few projects.

2) Shoot

Once you have registered, take the video by ensuring that you film a clear video of yourself or a group of you talking to the camera about the following:

- How you have felt as a DBSK fan in the past year.
- How you feel about their solo activities in the past year
- What does “Always Keep The Faith” mean to you?
- How would you feel if the 5 get back together someday?
- How would you feel if the 5 do not get back eventually?
- Your wishes for them in future
- Any other words/encouragement

Please take special notice of the following. Videos or submissions that do not adhere to the guidelines may not be used.

1) You can speak in any language though English, Japanese and Korean would be most preferred. If you wish to hold placards with your words instead of talking, it’s also acceptable.

For any other languages other than English, please subtitle your video with English translations. The subtitles should be at the bottom (where you usually see subtitles) in a clear, simple font such as Arial. Please avoid complex and curvy fonts.

2) Please limit your whole video to 1 MINUTE. Footage beyond the first 1 minute will not be included for consideration.

3) Please speak audibly and ensure that your words can be heard or seen. Please do not add any effects, logos and graphics to the video as it will complicate editing.

4) Strictly no needless bashing. This project is looking for SINCERE and TRUTHFUL entries. You may not love everything they do and you can express your feelings honestly but please do so in a sincere manner.

5) While I try to include your footage as much as possible, please note that only a segment of your video will be used due to editing necessity. Any videos deemed inappropriate or offensive for public viewing will be excluded.

3) Submit

Please check that your video is clear and can be opened before sending. Send the video to dbskfansongproject@gmail.com using yousendit or mediafire with your name and country on the file name by 22 November 2010, Monday (Seoul Time).

[NEWS] 100907 Kim Young Min: YouTube plays an important role in attracting fans from all around the world

A representative of SM Entertainment (hereafter refers to SM), Kim Young Min, said, “The world’s famous video-sharing website, YouTube, has played the role of an engine to attract fans from all around the world.”

On September 3 (hereafter indicates local time), Kim was interviewed at a restaurant located in Los Angeles and said, “SM signed a contract for providing content to YouTube last year. We built an official website within YouTube which already has an established variety of users worldwide, and people all around the world could watch the content from singers who belong to SM through the YouTube website.”

Actually, many audience members and fans who participated in the “SM Town Live 2010 World Tour in LA” held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, USA on September 4 said that they had become to know singers from SM and watch SM’s content through many Internet websites such as YouTube and Facebook.

An American member of Dong Bang Shin Ki’s fan club entitled Cassiopeia, Luisa Houdek (18) said, “After I watched the music videos of Dong Bang Shin Ki on YouTube, I also came to like the music of Super Junior and Shinee, who also belong to SM, as well. Every singer in SM is showcasing excellent singing and dancing, and they all look very cute. I usually enjoy listening to K-POP instead of American pop music.”

Another fan named Yosophi (18), who came from Spain via a 27-hour flight, said, “I happened to know Super Junior through the Internet.” He was holding the national flag of Spain on which the name of Lee Teuk, a member of Super Junior, was written in Korean.

If the quality of the content spread through the Internet had not been good enough, this kind of favorable response could not have been expected, according to SM. A person at SM explained that the high quality of content produced from the well-established system used to produce star singers by SM, which has been operating for 15 years, could be verified as high-quality content by many people abroad, many of whom have become SM fans.

An American fan named Herisa (19) interviewed at the Staples Center also said, “I listened to the songs of Big Bang at first on the Internet, and now I am a huge fan of Super Junior and f(x). I like both the melodies and the lyrics of their songs.” An advantage of using the Internet is that fans abroad can obtain the information on new songs from their favorite singers in real time.

Thanks to the Internet, fans of Super Junior and Shinee living in East Asian countries could sing and dance along with Super Junior and Shinee even when they first visited their country. And the Internet also established the foundation that could attract 20,000 fans to the debut showcase of Girls Generation held in Japan.

The representative of SM Japan, Nam So Young, said, “At this moment, even before the official debut of Girls Generation, there are continuous inquiries from many music stores in Japan including Tower Record about the new album from Girls Generation that will be released in Japan. Girls Generation has already become famous in Japan as they have been publicized through the Internet so far, and so they are performing activities in Japan not as rookie singers, but as ‘Asia’s number one star girl group.’”

[TRANS] TVXQ’s Concerts as The Most Desired Concerts in Latin America

The study also collected some data on the Latin American public’s interests. The groups most desired in the Americas are Jonas Brothers and the Korean group TVXQ. For recent months, the concert was the most sought after were the Jonas Brothers in San Juan (Puerto Rico), and the other two cities that have demanded for more concerts are Mexico and Santiago de Chile.

For cities, in Mexico the most anticipated concerts are TVXQ and Arashi, while in Santiago de Chile sue Paramore are Avril Lavigne and Camela. In the capital of Argentina, artists with the most votes are Paul McCartney and Avril Lavigne.
