The hottest and most popular Korean artistes will gather for the upcoming K-POP Festival held in May at the Super Arena in Saitama. The first list of ten confirmed participating artistes has been released on the 16th of February – TVXQ, SHINee, BEAST, MBLAQ, 2AM, SG WANNA BE, f(x), 4Minute, Miss A and Secret. The second list is expected to be announced on the 16th of March.
This activity is to celebrate and commemorate the 50th anniversary of Korean’s television station MBC. Merging the production system of MBC’s popular music programme “Music Core Show”, along with Japan’s performance production technology, this music event aims to promote the charms of K-Pop. In addition, with the aid of Japan and South Korea Cultural Exchange Center, alongside Fuji television station and non-profit organizations (NPO Corporate), this event will be carried out in the form of charity and its revenue will be donated to children’s educational institutions in Asia.
GFSC (Good Friends Save the Children) Charity Campaign (MBC 50th Anniversary Special Project Music Core Show! Tokyo Legend 2011~Korean Music Wave in Tokyo~) will be held on the 14th of May (Saturday) in Super Arena, Saitama. There will be two sessions held respectively in the afternoon and at night. Advance ticket sales will commence at 12pm on the 8th of March (Tuesday) at “GFSC Charity Official” and public ticket sales are expected to begin in late April.
