[TRANS] 101005 TVXQ Trio's First Japanese Album Ranks 3rd On Oricon Monthly Charts

JYJ's first Japanese album, released by TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu, has ranked third on the Oricon Monthly Charts.

According to Oricon, Japan's most prestigious album sales tabulation site, the JYJ unit's first Japanese album 'The...', which was released on September 8th, ranked 3rd on the Monthly Album Charts. They sold a total of 165,611 copies.

Another reason why so much attention is being focused on this album and its ranking is because 'The...' could be the first and last album the unit releases in Japan for now.

I made the song(music) for it!

And the lyrics was written by the famous teacher in Japan’s music industry “Matsui Gorou”san!!!

This is crazy

In Japan’s lyricist Matsui Gorou san,Aku Yu san,Akimoto Yasushi san, and Matsuo Kiyoshi san are people I love and people who represent Japans lyricist!!!

It is the benefit of the Works being able to work with someone like that!!

I was wondering how the lyrics will be added on to the melody but it became a really good lesson!!

These is a collaboration with Matsui-san~, it is a very good song so please listen to it ^^

GOT NUMBER 1!!!

Ha~ I actually knew from a while ago but I couldn’t say and promote since it was secret!

It feels weird that they did it as a LIVE first. Eh!? It wasn’t released!? Like that!!

The time I went to dome and a-nation was to see their live ^^

I was able to participate in the after party but they were really well mannered and love music, I was really moved!

I think it must have been hard since there was a lot going on, but as long as they have their pure hearts I’m sure its okay!!

I think there are a lot of people who support them!!!

Fight on!! I will do my best too!!

Please check it!!

[TRANS] 100915 Tohoshinki's Trio Sets A New Record for Foreign Artist, W (Double) Achievements

The first live DVD of Tohoshinki's members JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN "THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME" (rhymthzone, released on 9/8) sold a total of 119,000 copies in the first week, snatching the top spot of Oricon DVD Weekly Chart.

Their album "The…" which was released on the same day also ranks first on the Oricon Album Weekly Chart, selling 140,000 copies. The last artist who held a record of having both album and DVD ranked first on both charts was ZARD with their album "Golden Best ～15th Anniversary～" and DVD "ZARD Le Portfolio 1991－2006", which were released on 11/6/2006. The record was made 3 years and 10 months ago, with ZARD being the 6th artist to do so. For a foreign artist, this is the first time one has made such a brilliant achievement.

Moreover, they are the second foreign artist to sell more than 100,000 copies of a music DVD. The first artist to hold that record was Tohoshinki with "4th LIVE TOUR 2009～The Secret Code～FINAL in TOKYO DOME" (released on 10/12/2009) with 171,000 copies and "TOHOSHINKI VIDEO CLIP COLLECTION－THE ONE－" (released on 3/29/2010) with 109,000 copies.

[TRANS] 100910 JYJ’s ‘Explosive Start’

TVXQ’s trio JYJ have earned 2.8 billion Won (approximately 2.4 million USD) in one day.

The TVXQ trio, consisting of YoungWoong Jaejoong, Xiah Junsu and Micky Yoochun, released their first album on the 8th in Japan and earned almost 3 billion Won. According to Oricon Style, they sold 71,733 copies of their album, which costs 2,800 Yen each (39,000 Won), on the first day. This means that they made a total of 2.8 billion Won in just one day.

Of course, they were also the singers ranked #1 on the Oricon Daily Album charts. Compared to Himuro Kyosuke, who ranked second with 20,000 copies sold, the trio is receiving an explosive response. Many say that with such a large gap between the top two ranks, the trio will be able to sell at least 200,000 copies of their album. Therefore, many also state that the trio will probably rank #1 on the weekly charts as well.

This album is the first to be released by the trio without SM Entertainment. Their surprising album sales only proved once more that TVXQ’s popularity is still soaring in Japan regardless of the difficulties they’ve faced for the past year. The album includes new songs that were performed at the Osaka Kyocera Dome and Tokyo Dome in June such as and . The album can be seen as a way for the members to thank their fans who have been waiting so long for a new release.

The TVXQ trio stated, “We thank all our fans for the positive response we’ve been getting for our album. Although we are disheartened that we have not had many chances to interact with our fans in Korea, we hope this album will become a stepping stone in creating more chances to communicate with our fans, which is something we would like very much.”

The trio have taken a flashy first step as a separate unit and are planning a worldwide October release of their collaboration album with Kanye West.
