YH&CM: Thank you very much!

Hosts: How do you usually spend your birthdays?
YH: Usually spend our birthdays with our family and friends…
CM: Yea, and also with the staff members

Hosts: Ahaha I see I see…Are there birthday traditions in Korea that people do on birthdays?
YH: Ah! We have wakame soup! (T/N: It’s a type of edible seaweed)
CM: Oh yeaa.
Hosts:
Wakame soup?
CM:
Yea well when our mothers gave birth to us, they go through a lot of pain and lose a lot of blood right? So it’s been said that wakame is really good for the body and for blood so we drink that in order to sort of feel the pain of our mothers..
YH:
It’s really good for the body so people gift wakame soup as a gift.
Host:
So on their birthday they drink wakame soup?
YH:
Yes. People make it by themselves too but I’m bad at cooking so.. *laugh*

Host: Because it’s your birthday we decided to have a party! So we’ve prepared a dart game that the two of you like!
Host:
So both of you will get three chances and you’ll take turns throwing the dart. The one with the most points at the end will be the winner! Just wondering, do the two of you like playing with darts?
CM:
It’s actually been a long time since I’ve done darts and I’m not as good as Yunho so..
Host:
Ah, Yunho’s good at it?
YH:
No, no I’m really not that good.
Host:
Haha you can see his confidence building.
YH: No, no I’m really not that good~ *flexes*

Host: Okay then let’s start! We’ll have Changmin to go first
CM:
Whoaa okay.
YH:
Honestly, Changmin’s reflexes are really good.
Host:
Wahh so you think he can do it?
YH:
Yea yea.
Host:
Changmin, where are you aiming for?
CM:
The middle!
Host:
Whoaa the middle! His arm is so long! Haha yea the dart board is too close too close!
CM:
I’m starting!

*fail* xPP

CM: Ahhhhhh!!!!!
*everyone laughs*
YH:
Wow well done!!
Host:

YH:
Hahaha does it show on my face? *laugh*

Yunho gets 4 points!
Host:
Okay! 4 points 4 points.
CM:
Ahh that’s still okay then.
*laugh*

*Changmin fail again xP*
Host:
0 points! Well you did say you were aiming for the middle… *laugh* Okay okay, we still don’t know what the result will be~

YH gets 18 points
Host:
Wowww 18 points, that’s a really good score right. Okay Changmin’s turn.
CM:
Okay I’m going to get the middle with all my strength. *confident confident*
Host:
Okay you can do it, the middle!

60 POINTS!
Host:
Whoa 60 points!!! *clap clap clap*
YH:
He had this planned all along!!
Host:
Ahh the first two were just practice.
YH:
You’re really good at acting huh? *laugh*
Host:
The middle has the highest number of points.
CM:
Actually, I was lying about getting right in the middle.
Host:
Ahh it was all part of your plan right. *laugh*
Host:
Okay, so what’s your aim now Yunho?
YH:
The middle.
Host:
Okay!

Yunho gets!! 12 points… xP
Host:
12 points! (T/N: You can hear Changmin laughing at the back) So this means that Yunho has a total of 34 points and Changmin has a total of 60 points. Changmin wins! *clap clap clap*
Host:
Woow you did really well~~
CM:
I won just how I wanted to according to my plan.
Host:

Host:

[TRANS] 101021 Lee Seung Gi VS TVXQ, which one is Han Hyo Joo’s music taste?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The day before interview on the 19th Han Hyo Joo appeared at KBS2 ‘Hee Yeol sketchbook’ and performed a song on stage. “Due to cold, my throat was not in its best condition, so I was wondering if I sang well? Yet since everyone seemed to enjoy it, it was really fun.” she said.

In fact, Han Hyo Joo has a great interest in music, eventhough acting is her desire, yet she still works in music as a hobby and will participate in a coming fall music festival called Grand Mint Festival for two days on October 23 and 24.

“When I was young, I learned varieties instruments from violin, piano, to guitar. It started well but the problem is when I had to stop it” as she laughed.

Suddenly we now become curious about Han Hyo Joo’s music taste, in which Han Hyo Joo replied, “I like a lot of indie bands, mostly I’m into pop music.” she also mentioned, “Youngwoong Jaejoong (TVXQ) is one singing so good.” From TeleCinema ‘Heaven’s Postman’ where Youngwoong Jaejoong and his group TVXQ contributed in the movie’s soundtrack, she learned to actually appreciate the true worth of their music.

Then how about Lee Seung Gi who acts together with her in ‘Brilliant Legacy’? To this question Han Hyo Joo replied, “Seung Gi makes good music too.” in trembling voices that drew laughters.

In the end she revealed, “I don’t have quite skill in producing my own music, but if there’s a chance, I want to stand and play for musical stage.”

[TRANS] 100908 TOHOSHINKI to Have Comeback?! Korean Music K-POP Takes Over Music Distribution

Lately in Japan’s music industry Korean Pop (K-POP) artists have been
bringing a new wave.

Not just in Korea but even in Japan Tohoshinki made a big break and as
if to continue to it, from last year BIG BANG, Chou Shin Sei (Supernova), and other male idols have been debuting in Japan. Followed by Girls Generation, KARA, and other female idol groups have been debuting this summer in Japan as well.

In the future, it seems not to be exaggerated to say that there will be even more chances to see K-POP artists once you turn on the TV.

“Various parties have been pushing it hard to market K-POP artists in Japan. Currently they seem to have won a lot of tie-up agreements ranging from CM song, anime theme song, even to drama theme song.”

As said by a staff who knows many domestic musics distributions in Japan.

“Currently one of the biggest place you can buy music from in Japan like TSUTAYA, already made bigger sections inside the store for Enka, idol, anime, and K-POP. A time may come that stores that sale J-POP may become rare.”

Also another music industry staff said “Actually, from next year Tohoshinki is going to start their activities as a 5 members group again. But due to copyright problems they can only do their activities inside Korea, but it is certain that they will boost K-POP popularity even more”

A day when we realize that even local music programs will feature more K-POP artists…. perhaps such day is not so far away.

[TRANS] 100727 JaeJoong and Music

Photobucket

On February 2010, TVXQ’s Hero JaeJoong was ranked number one on Japan’s CDTV ‘Most Wanted Lover’ chart (males).

In these recent years, Japan TBS music channel ‘CDTV’ had been constantly releasing the artists ranking for ‘Most Wanted Lover’ chart. But the top 20-chart that was released this 13th February, TVXQ’s Hero JaeJoong had won the first position. Though it is a non-music related chart, and the fact that it’s a chart that based on ‘popularity of music’ + ‘attractive of the stars’ + ‘influential ability’ that grade Japan popular groups and singers, therefore this results had surprised many Japan and Korea fans.

No matter how popular TVXQ is at Japan, local Japanese artists also have their own intrinsic strength, moreover their strong foundation. The voting result this time had not only gone beyond the Korea field (they had long gone beyond it), also gone beyond the international field, at the same time gone beyond the topic of shorten popularity, this is a good reflection of how much Japanese fans love TVXQ and Hero JaeJoong which is really interesting and amazing. Especially when the four members of TVXQ including JaeJoong himself had also successfully entered the top 10 chart (Micky YooChun at 3rd, ChoiKang ChangMin at 6th and Xiah JunSu at 7th), result in KAT-TUN, Arashi and other Japanese top group members ranking to drop a few places. In recent years, members of these groups had dominated the chart rankings. Therefore the result this year had created much impact on the fans.

Though this result is shocking, but to think about it clearly, it’s not something impossible too. To be frank, we have always find it weird, why our country (in this article it means Korea) and Asia have yet to be captured by JaeJoong’s charms and stage charisma completely. This person’s charm is beyond standard, till a point that you can’t calmly focus on his singing. People who attended their live concert for the first time whispered, “JaeJoong singing is this good woo!”, this kind of situation had happened for many times, impossible to explain them one by one.

Hero JaeJoong’ singing ability is not just averagely good, though Xiah JunSu’s singing ability had received the highest complements, however the strong duet formation by the two of them is then the powerful leading pillar of TVXQ. JaeJoong leads the group in coordinating the combination of voice, tone, volume, range, expression, interpretation of the song lyrics, leading choral composition, balance control, harmonizing each member as a lead vocal, there’s nothing to be picky about him. Not only that, he never stop learning and analyzing, searching for new type of singing method. In order to expand all different type of expression in music genres, every stage performance is just like experiments to him, putting his best to interact with the audiences, to input all his strength onto influencing the whole performance. It will take a long time to list down all JaeJoong’s musical talents, it would take some efforts to introduce them one by one. His look is the best in Asia, just his singing ability itself can also consider as the top in Asia too, even his attitude towards music, it’s the same as well.

What’s more alarming is that, his capability increased as time goes by. Recently, his creation pieces had also received lots of compliments, very outstanding. The album that TVXQ released last year included two pieces by Hero JaeJoong, consider as two of the most memorable pieces of the album. With self composed music and lyrics, which was really remarkable. Seems like this article is focusing on all the conventional kind of praising, however all that was listed above were magically the facts. Such dazzling combination of their charms as a celebrities and flexibility in music are something hard to believe even seeing with own eyes.

“Are what you said true?” there is people who asked, please take your time to experience is to confirm it. Start from 18th October 2008 “SBS Love Letter’ talk show, the song that Hero JaeJoong sang with ChoiKang ChangMin ‘Its Raining Men’ and ‘In The Still Of The Nite’ to experience it, and also the famous SMAP hit song ‘Lion Heart’ that was sang by TVXQ on 20th March 2009 on Japan FujiTV music show ‘Our Music’. In these program, Hero JaeJoong had showed that its no longer enough to use praises like ‘handsome’ and ‘sang it so well’, what he presented had gone beyond surreal, like a drama-like image. In addition to the ‘Boy Pop Factory ‘09’ that was broadcasted last year by FujiTV, the live performances together with Micky YooChun had also shown their sense of music as well.

The ranking of their Japan live tour DVD ’09 had never dropped on the sale chart, looking at the results of the CDTV ranking this time round, seems like every fans at Japan had recognized their talents, so it’s not surprising that almost every members have entered to the top 10 of the chart, because fans are people who appreciate the true value of the five after experiencing it themselves.

[TRANS] 100527 Yahoo! Japan Music – JunSu’s Interview

[Artist Introduction]

XIAH junsu debuted with an image of a sexy and mature man; what does he want to express through the album “XIAH”?

Using the sale of his solo album on 26th May as a starting point, XIAH junsu’s activities has officially began!

Regarding this work, JunSu has been assessed to be much more mature than before and as to what JunSu himself thinks, we will reveal it to everyone in the details of our interview below.

“Expressing the sexy and sorrowful side of men at the same time”

XIAH junsu’s solo activities has started. As news of this spread, it has instantly caught the attention of Japan.

At that time, the sole question on every fan’s heart had been, for a multi-talented artiste who possess an unsurpassable ability in both vocals and in stage performances, what will he bring to us when he goes solo? We find the answer to this question in the album “XIAH”.

Firstly, I personally like the first track “Intoxication”, which fully expresses the R&B style of the aura of a sexy, mature and charming man. This is one of the interludes included in BeeTV’s television drama ““Beautiful Love~只要有你”, starring fellow group member Yuchun as the main lead. This track is also self-composed and arranged by JunSu himself.

“As a solo [artiste] this time, I wanted to try out the R&B style of African American music. Even though the style differs from what I have been doing, I wanted to express a sexy and mature side to everyone, and this song aptly does that. I am very pleased with the parts where we used the stringed instrument and guitar for accompaniment; while displaying the sexiness of a man, it also brings out a slightly sad side. I think this track is probably the track to listen to.”

Taking into consideration the integration of the track, JunSu’s view of wanting to increase the proportion of English lyrics was also adopted. Furthermore, JunSu also exuded a unique charm while expressing the international language.

“We also emphasized on the rhyme in the line ‘Going to find your secret honey’. As for this song, as it is a R&B-styled song, we paid a lot more attention to the melody and rhythm. The final recording was completed after making a lot of improvements while making the song challenging at the same time.”

Through the PV, we can really see and call that a real charming dance.

“For this track, the dance for the chorus was already planned out while we were in the midst of composing, so [the track] was produced based on the image of the dance moves. That’s why you can perceive parts of the dance moves in the song. Even though it is not a very intense atmosphere, and there is a sense of hesitation, it is still quite dashing on the whole.”

“While I presented a Western-like R&B style of music, I also wanted a ballad where everyone could experience a sense of sadness.”

This album also includes the theme song of BeeTV’s television drama “Beautiful Love~只要有你~”, “君がいれば~Beautiful Love~”. A world that belongs to XIAH junsu is described through a different style, which at the same time allows the listeners to feel thoroughly involved.

JunSu’s masterpiece “悲しみのゆくえ(Kanashimi no Yukue)”, which is available only in this CD version, has also been selected to be the theme song of another of BeeTV’s television drama “[5年后のラブレター] (Love Letters From 5 Years Later)”. The exact opposite of “Intoxication”, this track is a touching song that is filled with sorrowful emotions.

“While I presented a Western-like R&B style of music, I also wanted a ballad where everyone could experience a sense of sadness. There is no strong rhythm throughout this entire song, nor any accompaniment, only the interpretation through a single voice. By this, there is a more realistic interpretation of a man’s inner fragility. Personally I really like the line that goes ‘Happiness to me, compared to an end, a change will cause more loneliness’ because I really empathize with it. I hope that when everyone listens to this song, they will recall a past love that they once had.”

In addition, JunSu, JaeJung and Yuchun, who are currently developing their respective talents, will, as a unit, launch their first “JUNSU/JEJUNG/YUCHUN THANKSGIVING LIVE IN DOME” event. We believe the trio’s power will be unstoppable in Japan.

[TRANS] 100521 《Ori☆Star》 31 May P78 MUSIC

Junsu, also known as the one with the naturally divine voice, released the solo single track using the name "XIAH junsu."

"Intoxication" is a mature, attractive, sexy and cool dance track that has very beautiful vocals.
Another song "Kimi ga Ireba," as it is the theme song of "Beautiful Love ~Kimi ga Ireba~" which Yuchun stars in, has received a lot of attention, and has heartwarming lyrics.

No need to say more about the actors' performance
No words are needed to convey the sincerity

Then...
Let the story XIAH junsu wants to tell be injected into the song

[FANACC] 100518 Junsu in NHK Music Japan

Credits: celesdbsk

Charsmatic Junsu from my eyes
2010-05018 08:46

(few sentences omitted)

To be honest, during all the time Junsu was on stage,
I was trying to stand for dear life.
The impact that I felt with my whole body was beyond my imagination,
I was about to lose my senses many times.
I cannot express this feeling in correct words,
but it seems as though I was sent off to another world.
I thought, this is, the true Intoxication……
I thought that my words "charisma" that I’ve said many times up to this date
hasn't included the true meaningsΣ( ̄∇ ̄|||
Junsu today was not an angel, he was a god descending to earth.

We arrived at the NHK Hall about 6:30pm.
There were many girls looking for tickets, requesting to be accompanied. (T/N: the admission postcard was for 2 persons per postcard.)

A very long queue.
I carefully and gently held my postcard in my hand, and gave it to the person in charge.
We were given the seat card in exchange.

Though it was scheduled to start on 7:30pm, there was a written announcement that the program will start from 7:20pm, according to the schedule of the performers.

We went into the NHK hall, but we could not go to our seats.
The rehearsal was still going on, faint sounds could be heard.
I could not make out whose song…what music… those were.

The program started on time, 7:20pm, there was the shooting for the opening (and ending, though the shooting just started) .
For the other performers, I will write afterwards.

I was beginning to get nervous after 9pm.

Just after 9:10pm, 15 out of 16 performers have finished their performance.
The hall was filled with excitement.
The call "Junsu! Junsu!" occurred from nowhere.
The MC came out from the left side of the stage, and then, Junsu appeared.
On that moment, I think that the NHK Hall was swaying and swinging.
The program stopped for a moment.
I could not hear anything, the hall was filled with screaming cheers.

Looking from my seat, I saw the swaying red penlights.
There were many green Bigeast towels, and the pink Jun-chan towels, too.

Junsu's face and standing position during the talks.......
When I thought that Junsu was looking at this red ocean…
I was in tears.

I could not hear one word of the talks.
I saw the talking Junsu for sure.
But I could not… hear anything.
The cheers were that great.
I think I faintly heard the word XIAH Junsu.
I would like to look forward to the onair on TV.

The black costume was similar to that of the PV.
(Should it be the same costume?)

Junsu walked to the center of the stage, where 4 dancers were in the standby.
Junsu, sharing high fives (shaking hands) with the dancers
gave me an impression in a blink that Junsu is really loved by the dancers.
I felt that the dancers were cheering Junsu.

Finally, the music started.
I thought that it was a little bit different from the PV version.
Maybe the introduction was shorter?

Writing down the actual song and dance should be a spoiler,
and, I could not express enough by my weak style (this should be the main reason),
so I will not describe in details.

Just a short one (Lol)
There was a true spiritual fierce in his song and dance.
Touched.....? Moved.....?
Those are not the correct words.
It is beyond my vocabulary, my expressions.

You can say that the stage was as though you "felt" with your body,
rather than hearing with your ears.
Yes, I felt the stage. The word ecstasy may be the right word.

The great vocal, cool dancing,
and Junsu, emanating aura
made me forget that I was sitting on the 3rd floor.

After the song finished and Junsu walked away from the stage,
there were applauses, cheers, and screams.

Junsu's song, dance, passion, and charismatic charms, everything reached us.
Did our passionate feelings reach you, Junsu?

Jaejoong seemed to come to support Junsu.
In his white tank top (lol)

Before the stage, we were saying that one song is not enough.
Of course, for us fans, we want to hear ten or twenty songs.
We want to hear more and more…this is my real feelings.
But the tremendous impact of today's one song gave us the feeling of satisfaction much more than hearing just one common song.

Junsu should show to us many of his styles in the future.
I thought from the bottom of my heart that Junsu would always, always shine on stage.

Jun-chan, Saranghae~~~~♪

[FANACC] 100517 Junsu in Recording for NHK Music Japan

From a Japanese fan's twitter

This is the last of my report. Since this is written from just an individual point of view, please read my twitting as a guide. Oh, I was sitting in the 3rd floor. This is the report from my sitting place, of the audience and of Jun-chan (^O^) After singing one song (T/N: "Intoxication"), Junsu was slightly sweating. Jun-chan ~ Arigato (T/N: thank you)!

We could not use the cellular phone in the hall. Sorry for not informing you during the performance.

Sorry for the brief report. Tomorrow, there should be many reports (T/N: in the Japanese blogs), so please forgive me for the short one. (omitted)

I could not hear the first talk since everyone was screaming with delight. Junsu danced and sung with a confident air, with the 4 dancers. Since he appeared in the very last, there was the Junsu call before the stage lighted up.

All the audience was standing. The boys sitting in the back row (T/N: they should be fans of AKB48) were standing up, too. Looking from the 3rd floor, straight in front of the stage, it seemed to look as though the hall was completely filled with red lights.

I just came out from the NHK Hall. Jun-chan appeared at the very last (T/N: around 21:10) . Black costume. His charismatic charms were of full blast(>_<)

Please read from bottom to top.

Adding the picture of Junsu's banner at night. Beautiful~~

[TRANS] 100415 Tohoshinki Leaves Solid Trace In Japanese Music Industry

With the announcement of Tohoshinki's activities as a group coming to a stop, they still leave a strong trace in the Japanese music industry.

In Korea, Tohoshinki debuted in 2003 with "Hug", earning them various new artist awards. In 2005, they made their way into the Japanese market with "Stay With Me Tonight".
Since then, have released 30 singles and 4 albums, and have firmly secured their honorable position at the top as famous artistes.

On March 24, 2010, they released their 30th single "Toki Wo Tomete", which both earned them #1 on the Oricon charts, as well as their 8th time in placing #1 in the weekly charts, breaking the record for overseas singers.

In addition, Tohoshinki also released their "Best Selection 2010" album in February, and sold an extraordinary 410 000 copies in just the first week. Hence, since their debut in Japan 5 years ago, they set the record for the highest number of copies sold as overseas artistes. With the music industry sinking farther in terms of the economy, Tohoshinki's records still managed to sell over 5 million copies since their debut into the Japanese market.

Profiting from such outstanding success, on the "2009 Oricon Annual Charts", Tohoshinki reaped in a total of 6.89 billion yen (t/n: approx 75 million USD) coming after popular groups Arashi and EXILE, and placing as #3.

With such astonishing achievements, Tohoshinki really are true stars, not just in name, but also in reality.

(t/n: FYI-- Japan has the second largest entertainment industry after the United States)
