[NEWS] 100927 Fans concerned with Avex releasing JYJ products

TVXQ’s Japanese agency, Avex, has been under a bit of heat lately due to the release of a 2011 calendar featuring Jaejoong, Yuchun, and Junsu. The agency already declared that they would be halting all of JYJ’s activities for now, thus making fans wonder why their products are still being sold, if that was the case.

Avex began selling two versions of the JYJ 2011 calendar through music site “Mumo“. Fans who have supported the trio’s promotions are criticizing Avex as having double standards and being hypocritical. TVXQ fancafes and other entertainment forums have been posting criticisms like, “They’re just trying to steal profit.”

In their defence, Avex announced that all these products were already scheduled in advance and would be released regardless of the halt in activities. Yet the clarification is falling on deaf ears. “We are unable to understand why Avex would sell their products when they are not allowing them to promote,” fans said, “Why are they tying down JYJ if they’re going to continue selling their products?”

Avex halted the trio’s Japanese promotions on the 16th, making it impossible for them to continue promoting until their lawsuit with SM Entertainment reaches a conclusion.

[NEWS] 100910 SungKyunKwan Scandal Releases Poster Of Jalgeum Quartet Vs Jjilgeum Quartet

KBS Monday-Tuesday drama is drawing attention for its new poster of Park Yoochun, Park Min Young, Song Joong Ki, and Yu Ah In of the ‘Jalgeum Quartet’ (Jalgeum: Word from the novel describing a man so handsome that women’s hearts stop even when all he does is walk past them) as well as their scary(?) SungKyunKwan seniors Jun Taesu, Kang Sung Pil, Kim Dong Yoon and Chae Byung Chan of the ‘Jjilgeum Quartet’.

Jun Taesu, who plays the role of head of Jjilgeum and student body president Ha In Soo, stated, “The biggest charm that separates the Jjilgeums from the Jalgeum quartet is “laughter”. I believe their charm comes from being bad guys who aren’t hated but give the viewers something to laugh about.”

Kang Sung Pil, who plays Lim Byung Choon, also added that, “The charm of the Jjilgeum quartet is their humanity. The Jalgeum quartet, with their good looks and intelligence, may be people to look up to but they can also be people others feel jealous towards. Viewers may feel closer to the Jjilgeum quartet because they’re the kind of characters you could bump into in your neighborhood and comfortably strike up a conversation with.”

YTree Media representative Noh Yoon Ae stated, “Though they are divided by the names Jalgeum and Jjilgeum, they are all characters who can represent the healthy and bright energy of youth at the SungKyunKwan campus. We believe the poster will add to the fun of the drama, which is progressively becoming more interesting and enjoyable.”

[NEWS] Sungkyunkwan Scandal releases its poster

The poster’s out for “campus romance youth sageuk drama” Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and the image basically tells us what we need to know: It’s comedic, romantic, and definitely not your parents’ sageuk.

The photo features Micky Yoochun with Park Min-young, with the word “Shh!” written between them. He plays lead character Sun-joon — rich, talented, smart — while she plays Yoon-hee, a girl who dresses as a boy to enter the school at Sungkyunkwan. S/he falls in with Sun-joon’s crowd, which is rounded out by rebellious Jae-shin (Yoo Ah-in) and playboy Yong-ha (Song Joong-ki). Naturally hormones get involved, some wires get crossed, and hijinks ensue.

The production team also opened up an official Twitter account at http://twitter.com/@scandal2010 to open up more lines of communication with its viewing public.

The KBS Monday-Tuesday drama will premiere on August 30.
