On April 22nd, Sungkyunkwan Scandal DVD Box 1 will be released containing the love story of historical youth. It has been confirmed that the DVD Box 2 will contain a special DVD.

The Korean drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” takes place in a prestigious university named “Sungkyunkwan” for the elites during the Chosen period. Love and friendship between the students, this drama depicts the colours of youth, and revolves around a young love story. This drama received great popularity as it was viewed all over Korea. It was the most searched keyword on the internet and it had become a social phenomenon. Starring Yoochun for the first time, he acted along side Song Jung Ki, Yoo Ah In, and others. The main cast of this drama won this large explosive popularity.

This time, a special DVD will be included in the DVD Box 2 which will include interviews from the 4 main leads (Yoochun, Jung Ki, Yoo Ah In, Park Min Yeong), and also the video recording of the actors in this drama wining awards (Yoochun received 3 awards) during 2010 KBS Drama Awards. During this award ceremony, JYJ’s Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu sang the soundtrack of this drama “Chajatta”. This was their first time singing on stage on a local show and it became quite a topic. This stage performance is also a bonus feature of this special DVD.

Also, NG scenes will also be included and other recordings that occurred during the shooting. You’ll also be able to see Yoochun’s face as a actor for the first time, and glimpse his behavior. Song Jung Ki also speaks in his interview about his first kiss and other experiences he has had.

Kanye’s New Boys

First, Kanye West expressed his fascination for the young boy Justin Bieber. Now he has made a song with the South Korean boyband-trio JYJ.

Kanye West is doing well these days. Not only is he of current interest because of his short movie Runaway, (probably) containing a soundtrack with samples of songs from his coming album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” that is to be released on the 22nd of November.

He has also expressed his excitement over Justin Bieber, something that resulted in a Kanye- and Raekwon-assisted remix of the young boy’s “Runaway Love”. But the hyperactive rapper’s addiction to collaboration isn’t easily pacified. Now, he has done a collaboration with the South Korean boyband JYJ, who recently released their debut album, “The Beginning”.

JYJ is named after the initials of the three singers in the group, Kin JaeJoong, Park YuChun and Kim JunSu, who have created furore in their homeland and in Japan since they started the band TVXQ in 2003. They took a new name after an argument with their management earlier this year, and has since then recieved American assistance, both form Kanye West and the producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, on their journey towards an expanded fancrowd.

[NEWS] 100503 U-Know Yunho Featured in Shanghai Expo Video

Korean pop idol U-Know Yunho has been featured as the main star in a video to be shown throughout the Expo 2010 Shanghai China, according to his agency SM Entertainment on Monday.

The video, a 12-minute long clip titled "Chorus City," has been showing at the South Korea pavilion of the Expo which kicked off on Saturday, delivering the message of friendship and harmony between Korea and China.

Director Kim Seong-soo, whose works include hit films "Beat" and "City Of The Rising Sun," helmed the clip which talks about how so-called 'wishmakers' of a future city created jointly by Korea and China help a ballerina find the dreams she loses after getting into an accident.

Other SM artists including Super Junior members Siwon, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Super Junior M members Xhou Mi, Henry and girl group f(x) also appear in the video.

The Expo 2010 Shanghai China will run for six months until October 31 with over 192 countries set to attend the event.

U-Know, whose real name is Jung Yunho, made his debut in 2004 as the leader of the five-member boy band TVXQ.

They are known as one of the most successful K-pop idols in Asia but recently announced they will discontinue pursuing their activities as a five-man band after three of its members -- Xiah Junsu, Hero Jaejoong and Micky Yoochun -- asked a court to nullify their exclusive 13-year contract with SM Entertainment.
